Winner - Best Visitor Accommodation, Leicestershire 2003 Sysonby Knoll is the biggest and longest established family runned and run hotel in Melton Mowbray, and features the most high AA quality rating of any hotel in the city. It features been owned by the same family since 1965, when it was purchased as a 6 bedroom cottage. Over the intervening years, this features gradually developed into a 30 bedroom hotel, with 24 suites in the major building and a further 6 administrative suites in our annexe. The original cottage now forms a little part of a piazza patio, with the brasserie, restaurant and greenhouse facing the terraces. Our three 4 placard suites are in the old building overlooking the terraces, and most of the other bedrooms overlook into the central park in the patio. We are approximately 15 mins amble from the very heart of Melton Mowbray, a busy market place city well known for Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese.. Our present-day coffee hall features been made with the requirements of both work and relaxtion especially in mind.
