General Information

Manor house Farmhouse is a nice Grade two listed period countryside farmhouse, located in small countryside of Collingbourne Kingston, approximately 9 miles south of Marlborough on the A338 Salisbury Road. The locality is rustic and agricultural, with plenty of lively countrysides and thatched cottages, and we are well located for exploration Wiltshire’s antique places, from Stonehenge (20 minutes) to Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill and the Ridgeway (25 minutes). Our working arable farm features been in the family ownership since 1885, and we are the 5th generation to live in the farmhouse. Manor house Farm lies on the northern edge of Salisbury Plain, and forms part of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The 550-acre farm and its old chalk down land occupy some of the most high land in the region, and consequently the vistas over the nearby village are stunning. There is elegant strolling and cycling from the farm with a lot of social rights of way in the proximity. We are about two miles from the Wiltshire Cycleway. We currently propose three suitable and extensive apartments. Our double/family suite (en-suite) and our twin/family apartment (private facilities) are both huge south-facing Georgian suites with recent bathrooms, including full-size enamel baths and over bath power-showers. Our characterful 17thC double room is equipped en suite amenities and faces the walled terraces to the paddock and downland behind. We are a non smoking establishment, and have spacious parking. In addition to conventional farmhouse cooking, we also provide deluxe breakfasts for visitors who prefer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other unique diets. We are fortunate in having a few fine local places to have dinner in the evening, including 'the Barley Corn' state pub, 2 minutes stroll away. A highly sincere reception and a quiet and familiar atmosphere await you at Manor Farm.
