General Information

The River House is a family run four guesthouse serving award winning, AA accredited dinner and breakfasts. We use only locally sourced products in our kitchen, and serve for all dietary needs. We are exceptionally well situated - encircled by vivid, rolling village of the Yorkshiredales and within a short distance of Skipton, Harrogate and Kendal in the lakes. A construction brimming with character, River House is riddled with idiosyncratic twists and touches. Parts of the cottage date back as far as 1664, the facade of the cottage is Victorian while the restaurant and hall brasserie was once the countryside dance lounge called St Georges lounge. This restaurant can offer a comfortable setting for a deliberately meal, the roomy and cozy lounge brasserie allows you to unbend with a drinks with a forest burning stove for the chilly months of the year. Other amenities and services comprise self-sufficient Wi-Fi, private car park, a lockable garage for bikes, a packed snack facilities and washhouse and drying suite.

Transportation

From skipton combine the A65 towards Gargrave, at Gargrave take the first right sign posted to Malham going via the countrysides of Eshton, Airton, Kirkby Malham, then on to Malham. River House is on the left in the countryside just past the national garden guest heart.
