General Information

Harrop Fold is set within its own 20 acres of land and customers are welcome to stroll along the plenty of footpaths that cross the premises. A footpath from the door reaches the Gritstone Trail. There are 2 marvellous brooks - Mellow Brook and Harrop Brook, which are visited by a superb range of wildlife, and there is a wide variety of bird life to be seen around the farm. Harrop Fold Farm is a smallholding nestling in a woody gritstone vale on the western side of the Peak District National Park and features wonderful views over the Cheshire Plain to the Welsh Mountains. It features a patio of charming conventional stone buildings that are of architectural and archaeological interest and there is evidence of a Roman highway passing through. Archives also suggest a tannery at Harrop Fold Farm was used by Bonnie Prince Charlie as he made his way to Derby to attempt to seize the English crown.
