The North Cliff Hotel Lynton

General Information

The North Cliff Hotel, standing in its own property, features some of the best vistas of the North Devon coastline. It's in a pleasing situation some 500 feet above the sea level on the famous marine North Walk facing Lynmouth Bay and the nice Watersmeet Valley, and a 200 metre stroll to Lynton. With parking amenities on the forecourt, the guesthouse is a pleasing base for exploration Exmoor National Park. Kids, dogs and groups welcome Local activities comprise strolling, riding, tennis, and putting, and the North Cliff is superbly located for exploration the coastline and Exmoor National Park. The highway opposite the hotel forms part of The South West Coastal Path and the outstanding Valley of the Rocks is a 2-mile stroll. The celebrated water powered Cliff Railway linking Lynton and Lynmouth passes within several feet of the inn and is accessed through the stepped park. After a day spent investigating Exmoor or the beach, be it strolling or tourism, you'll be prepared to unwind and enjoy a drink on the veranda or at the brasserie and a home-cooked meal in our restaurant, which features majestic sea and waterside vistas.

Transportation

From the north and east leave the M5 at J23 and take the A38 to Bridgewater. Take the A39 westwards towards Williton, Minehead, Porlock and then to Lynmouth. At Lynmouth continue bearing directly at the B3234 signposted to Lynbridge and Barbrook. After appx 500mtrs turn directly at the hair-pin bend to Lynton, continue up Castle Hill to the church on the right. Take the turning to the right just past the church, North Walk Hill, and the North Cliff Hotel is located after 100mtrs at the base of the short hill on the left-hand side. From the south and west leave Barnstaple on the A39 towards Lynton. At Blackmoor Gate turn right then immediately left towards Lynton. At Barbrook turn left onto the B3234 towards Lynbridge and Lynmouth. Continue past the 1st turning on the left signposted to Lynton, and proceed through Lynbridge to mix with the hair-pin bend. Keep to the left and continue up Castle Hill to the church on the right. Take the turning to the right just past the church, North Walk Hill, and the North Cliff Hotel is located after 100mtrs at the foot of the short hill on the left-hand side. Or From the North and East leave M5 at Junction 27 and take A361 towards Barnstaple, after 25 miles at roundabout turn right onto the A399, at Blackmoor Gate turn right on A39 to Lynton. At Barbrook turn left on to the B3234 towards Lynbridge and Lynmouth, continue past the 1st turning on the left signposted Lynton, and proceed through Lynbridge to mix with the hairpin bend. Keep to the left and continue up Castle Hill to the church on the right, Take the turning on the right just past the church, North Walk Hill, and we are the 1st hotel on the left-hand side.
