General Information

Hillside House is a lovely building dating from the 1790s, though parts of it are much older. According to local convention it was once a dairy, and the oldest part may date from as early as the 1400s. It's listed (Grade II) as a construction of historical value. The structure features been used as a bed & breakfast since the 1940s. Located on the East Lyn river at Lynmouth, our holiday hotel is perfectly appropriate both to the requirements of walkers or those of a less strenuous disposition. We are 400 yards from the South-West Coast Path it's the perfect location to discover an affluence of waterside, riverside and forests landscape: rugged cliffs, lonely bays, the Exmoor moorland, the Doone dale, Porlock and Watersmeet. Have a gentle walk around the countryside itself with its interesting harbor, quaint fishing cottages and charming boutiques. Whether you favour you are able to take a boat journey from the haven, along the Heritage Coast, or go up the water-powered rock railway to Lynton and stay the Valley of Rocks. There are an option of riding stables surrounding. Like plenty of antique buildings it features settled a bit and you'll fail to find any walls or floors which are direct or corners which are ideally piazza.
