Barclay House - our home & yours for the duration of your visit, short or long - we goal to please! Barclay House lies on the edge of Looe, a historic Cornish fishing countryside dating from the 12th century. Carved into the hillside facing the East Looe river, this six acre property features amazing views over the water and village behind, yet we are only ten minutes stroll from the city, haven, coast & sea. Primarily built around 1890 as a Victorian family bungalow of uncompromising architecture, this delightful 11 bedroom cottage features an immense elegance & majestic relaxed air approximately it. We are captivated daily by its imposing situation and the ever changing landscape. Situated on the first floor of the cottage are the AA Rosette award winning restaurant, comfortable hall brasserie and living room the whole with scenic balcony overlooking the water (when the tide is in, that is! ) Drinks are catered al fresco when possible - what better way to go through the sun go down than relishing a glass of local Camel Valley wine while perusing our daily changing carte menu on our verandah? - the incomparable problem will be what to choose!! You may perhaps enjoy relaxing by the pool nestled in a suntrap or enjoy some peace in our terraces and forests. All our apartments have everything you could possibly wish for - the entire with those fabulous panoramas - plenty of of which are of the river! Our luxury cottages which have incredible River Views delighted from your greatly own veranda and balcony - are entirely equipped with everything you might need including adjacent bathrooms (most master bedrooms with jacuzzi fashion thermal baths! ); fully fitted kitchen - right down to your extremely own park shed and barbecue!! Not forgetting our fitted country of the art gym with sauna. Easily reachible by air, highway or rail, with gracious yet warmhearted service led by the Brooks family - we indeed do have it all!
