Dining Information

The Sanderson's restaurant is called Suka. It offers modish true Malaysian cuisine ready with European sensibility. Made by acclaimed New York cook Zak Pelaccio, Suka's carte menu of fresh British and Malaysian make marries French cooking techniques with the intensity and spectrum of Southeast Asian flavours. The carte menu is catered in characteristic Asian sharing fashion and consists of dishes varying from home-style to indeed stylish and luxe.
Sanderson guesthouse is also well known for its focal point of energy The Long Bar. Long Bar is light, white and fresh and radiates freshness and cleanliness. Classic and pioneering cocktails fill the seasonally changing carte menu, with customers also being can adore the best burger with a choice of varying garnishes, charcuterie and mezze sharing plates.
The Purple Bar, with its veritable symphony of purples, lavenders and violets, is a modern and intimate hall that features become one of London's hottest gathering places. It looks like an enormous meteorite just fallen from the sky, the wildly theatrical Purple Bar feels direct from the pages of "Alice in Wonderland", a quality that makes it the ideal setting for drinks, conversation and people-watching. Purple Bar proposes 10oz Martinis in addition to a choice of 3oz Martinis in addition to a choice of 3oz classic Martinis, all of which are based on the original Martini 'The Martinez' dating back to 1860.


Exterior

It's a comprehensive up-to-date building dating from the 1960s with extremely commodious windows. The guesthouse does not have its name over the door the way other properties tend to.


Lobby

The entrance is a spacious open plan region. The inn features been planned by Phillipe Stark, an excellent designer. The flooring is light forest and the walls and windows are covered in white voile curtains. On entering there is a comprehensive purple sofa, in the shape of a couple of lips, planned by Salvador Dali. The furniture is extremely abstract - mostly wooden carved chairs imported from Africa. There are also a few gold chairs with carved swan arms.
