General Information

Located at the centre of Britain's smallest city, between the Cambrian Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, we provide a peculiar occasion to visit in the undiscovered 'Welsh Lake District'. The pace of life is simple, and you can make a choice to either just unwind among thrilling landscape and wildlife, or enjoy one of the varied activities the region can offer. Lodging is supplied in a family run hotel which features stood in the very heart of Llanwrtyd Wells for over 130 years. Its 19th century character, the whole with log fires, features been protected in the hall and social bars. Here, every night, you are able to meet the townsfolk and listen to the stories from the mountains and valleys, some as broad as the fish that receive away in the local River Irfon. All of our 21 apartments have en suite amenities with color TV and either a bath, shower, or both. All rooms in the hotel have tea/coffee making service, shaver point and radio. Amenities include the conventional farmers' Bell Bar featuring the original servants' bells, and a restful hall brasserie. Both bars cater a variety of authentic ales, in addition to the usual beverages. There is also a toys apartment for pool and darts, and a residents' TV hall, which is furnished with different board toys and several jigsaw puzzles. Since 2006 we have been brewing genuine ales in our own microbrewery, the "Heart of Wales Brewery", built in the derelict stables beyond the inn, and we constantly have a prime selection attainable on the pumps in the bars, in addition to in bottles to take home.
