General Information

The Royal Oak Inn is embedded in the picturesque village of Rhandir-mwyn, seven miles from the antique drovers city of Llandovery, this old sixteenth century hunting lodge is now an award winning CAMRA Pub that proposes a sincere welcome and an entertaining spot to drink, have dinner and sleep. Your hosts, Christopher and Rachel, strive to organize a friendly atmosphere where everyone can rest, chat and wind down to the quiet pace of rustic Welsh life. There are magnificent views over the Towy Valley from the park and the big bedrooms. There is ample off highway car parking, a delicious park to enjoy on those warmer days and true log fires to snuggle round in the Winter. The Royal Oak Inn is a prime site to escape to so you are able to lay back come wind, rain or shine. The Royal Oak Inn is fully located for an ample number of rustic activities including mountain biking, fishing, strolling and climbing, bird watching (especially at RSPB Dinas) and just driving around taking in the vistas!


Transportation

We are located seven miles North of Llandovery, which is on the A40 between Brecon and Carmarthen. When you come in Llandovery, follow the brown treveller signs to RSPB Dinas andor Llyn Brianne. You have to go past us to reach both of these park amusements. Please take into account that direction signs are not everytime where they need to be in this part of the world, so bring a highway map just in case!
