Pelham House is a 16th Century hotel ornamented in present-day fashion and located in the heart of the historic city of Lewes in the center of Sussex-antique shops-art museums and historic sites are all just a short meander away. Pelham House able to berth up to 60 customers in a variety of 31 Twin and Double rooms-all nicely decorated and some benefiting from wonderful views over our idyllic south-facing park framed by vistas towards the South Downs. All apartments feature cozy beds with crisp white linen and are fitted with present-day handmade oak furniture. We goal to give our dear guests with ideal amenities to enjoy their visit and these comprise remote control TV-phone and high speed news point. All rooms provide an en-suite bath or luxury shower suite with a variety of natural toiletries. The major cottage features suites on the ground-first and 2nd floors-most of which face the park and have vistas of the South Downs. The recently converted Mews suites are fresh-comfortable and original-retaining most of the original has of the structure. Pelham House is comfortably situated only a two minute stroll from Lewes Train Station-making it convenient for London-Gatwick Airport-Eastbourne-Brighton-Chichester-Goodwood-Brighton and Plumpton Racecourses. Brighton is ten mins away and London able to be reached in only over 1 hour.

In January 2008, Pelham House launched its recent brasserie and restaurant focusing on easy and tasty food, using locally- sourced make, at a fair price. Our varied and constantly-changing carte menu is the creation of our head cook Glenn Lester.

The restaurant is embedded in 2 of the plurality historic suites of the cottage - the Panelled Room and the Garden Room, both dating back to the sixteenth century, with beauteous vistas over our terraces onto the South Downs. The Panelled Room retains some outstanding forest carvings which are one of the major treasures of the House.
The restaurant is now open to the social each day, from 12 pm for snacks and from 6: 30 pm for dinner.
