General Information

This 17th Century downtown guesthouse is an owner controlled, luxurious and up-to-date interpretation of a conventional training inn. Officially four stars, the guesthouse include sixteen up-to-date adjacent apartments with luxury fittings. Please take into account, smoking is not allowed in any of the bedrooms and all our visitor apartments are adjacent with shower or shower plus bath. Located below the inn is an award winning brasserie with eight cask ales, a roomy selection of malt whiskies and over twenty wines all accessible by the clear. The guesthouse bedrooms have been renewed to the most high standards. All propose designer furniture and accessories, flat screen digital televisions and bespoke Italian bathrooms. There is a cot accessible at no additional charge and able to be placed in any of the bedrooms apart from the smaller classic rooms. This pub is part of C2 Original Inns which also owns the recently renovated Duke of Edinburgh Hotel (Barrow-in-Furness), The Palatine (Morecambe), The Mill at Ulverston and is the glad owner of Lancaster Brewery. The guesthouse features sixteen adjacent apartments including singles, doubles, luxuriant rooms & suites. In June 2006 the inn installed secondary glazing to all facade overlooking suites to ensure a halcyon night's sleep. The inn is superbly located in the center of the historic center of the city for all the town's treveller destinations (including the Castle and Priory) plus the universities. Post Script - following comments made by customers on this website we have replaced all the radiator thermostats and the level of heating in the apartments is now fully controllable. Further to we have introduced the option of pre-ordering your fine breakfast to help those in an early morning hurry. Breakfast times are Monday to Friday seven. 30am to 10.30am. Located in the very heart of Lancaster neighboring to the Royal Bank of Scotland and diagonally opposite Natwest Bank. The closest parking is Park Safe located less than 60 yards from the inn.
