(GW 11/2009) Set interior a wonderful hundred-year-old building, Penny Street Bridge was aboriginally the Corporation Toll House, but it was demolished in 1901 and rebuilt as 2 disunite pubs - the White Cross Hotel and the Corporation Arms.
These 2 pubs later became known as simply the Farmer's Arms, till Daniel Thwaites Brewery of Blackburn entirely transformed it with a 2million GBP renewal in 2007. The guesthouse is embeded right in the middle of the historical University City of Lancaster at the mix of Penny Street and Aldcliffe Road - facing the Lancaster canal. Just 10 minutes by auto from Morecambe and the good Lancashire beach. It is where northern cordiality meets eclectic fashion.
