Log Cabin Hotel Kirkmichael

General Information

The Log Cabin is a vivid conventional Norwegian pine cabin set high in the idyllic mountains of highland Perthshire. We are just 15 min drive from Pitlochry where on the way you are able to adore the remote richness of Moulin Moor and see the sheep relaxing by the roadside! The guesthouse itself is embedded in lonely forests where you are able to often site local wildlife such as scarlet squirrels, deers, pheasants, rabbits and buzzards from your own bedroom windows. From our facade brasserie you are able also enjoy fine views down the glen and local village whilst eating some prime food cooked using local ingredients such as venison, sirloin steaks and even local honey. Our amicable personnel will make certain you're well looked after and kids are most welcome as we have a unique children dishes and lots of games in the play region to keep the young ones amused. In addition to delightful doubles and twin suites we also have prominent family suites and a comprehensive apartment with four single beds good for hill walkersbackpackers or for groups hiking together. For the hill walkersoutdoor enthusiasts we also provide a drying suite facility and we are glad to produce packed snacks for the following stage of your travel. All of the rooms have savoury coffee and tea making amenities and en-suite bathrooms (some of our doubletwin apartments also have Tv's and Ipod docking radio alarm clocks). In summer time our cafe and restaurant is open for suppers from five. 30pm on weekdays and for snacks on Saturday and Sundays.

Transportation

The countryside of Kirkmichael is on the major A924 equal distance (about 14 miles)between both Pitlochry and Blairgowrie. Once you come in Kirkmichael you turn over the bridge (right whether coming from Pitlochry and left whether coming from Blairgowrie)and drive up the tarmac highway past the school turning entirely a sharp left between two houses and then follow that highway till you arrive to an ample cottage called 'Curran House' (which is painted a burn't orangeyellow colour) where you turn right and head up the hill and you'll find the inn at the upper. It only take approximately 3 min from the center of the countryside.
