With the idyllic harbor of Portree in the foreground and the vista of the whirlpool beyond, the Royal Hotel provides you a tranquil relaxing escape while you are staying on Skye. The Hotel brags 26 suites that have been decorated with the intention for them to be used by families and couples. We have two suites that are located on the 1st floor that have been disabled adapted. Most of our suites face the Portree haven and they all have individual bathroom amenities, colour television and cozy furniture and accessories. Whilst staying at the inn customers have free use of BB's Gym on the ground floor and with free wireless internet in the Lounge you are able to check your emails or plan your trip. The hotel can propose a big variety of drinks in both of our bars, whilst the Lounge brasserie proposes Live Scottish music evenings, MacNab's Bar has to offer a quieter setting to receive pleasure from our prestigious MacNab's Ale', a specialist brew from Skye's only Real Ale Brewery in Uig.

Transportation

The guesthouse is around fourty minutes drive (34 miles) from the Skye Bridge. From the Skye Bridge, follow signs for Portree (A87). When you come in Portree, follow highway signs for Staffin (A855). We are located on the corner of The Green and Bank Street, facing the haven.
