General Information

The Belfry at Yarcombe is a magnificent site to unbend and unwind. The Grade II listed building is a previous countryside school located in scenic Yarcombe. The resident proprietors, Neil and Sarah-Jane and their cat Saona, although seldom seen, extend a truly sincere reception, creating an ambiance of friendliness and halcyon leisure. Contemporary British gastro food is passionately made and clients may begin the day with anything from a slice of toast to a whole side of smoked haddock, full English or the winter unique of eggy panetone. Dinner customers are asked to determine day and night beforehand from the dishes and their meal will be just prepared to order, from the legendary variety of fresh and local ingredients. The restaurant is limited to just 12 covers and is open to non-residents too, so visitors are recommended to reserve a desk should they wish to have dinner in order to avoid disappointment. A splendid and reasonably price wine catalogue accompanies. With only six, personally styled luxury en-suite bedrooms The Belfry provides a high standard of lodging blending conventional has with up-to-date comforts. With visitor comfort in mind there are thoughtful extra touches including newly baked goods, mineral water, luxury bathrobes and high quality towels and linens in each suite. Additionally, we have just added L'Occitane toiletteries in all the suites for your joy. Visitors are welcome to browse the owners' range of books and music to enjoy in the hall or with every room's CD player. Encircled by rolling village with beautiful vistas of the Yarty, The Belfry is advantageously located to discover the wonderful village of England's South West from the Jurassic World Heritage Coastline to the wide-open spaces of Dartmoor and Exmoor.
