General Information

Located in the centre of the sleepy Herefordshire countryside of Dorstone, just four miles from the World book capital of Hay-on-Wye, The Pandy inn is reputed to be the oldest pub in the shire. Dating from around 1185 The Pandy is said to have been built by Sir Richard de Brito during his construction of the neighbouring countryside church, in penance for the murder of Archbishop Thomas a Beckett. Today the hotel contains much of its historic character and proposes a sincere welcome to customers and locals alike. After a long stroll, cycle or drive in the pretty Golden Valley and Brecon Beacons National Park the Pandy Inn is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a pint of local beer and an excellent meal. We are also happy to announce that the Pandy is once again an inn in the authentic sense of the word. The lodging is an ECO hospitable Timber House built using conventional methods to a latest design. It include five en room roomy suites with dramatic vistas across the Golden Valley.
