General Information

The Garway Moon Inn is a private 18th Century independent cottage and state inn located facing Garway Common - this is the spot to eat, drink and uncoil in an unofficial vicinity which welcomes muddy boots, children and dogs! The bed & breakfast lodging features 3 vivid en apartment apartments all recently renovated to a greatly high standard. While staying with us you'll also enjoy conventional pub food that is homemade with quality ingredients sourced from nearby farms along with a generous selection of local authentic ales, ciders and wine. From the 12th to the sixteenth centuries the manor house of Garway was owned by the Knights Templars and the Knights Hospitallers. It's likely that there features been an Inn at some tranquil location in Garway since the arrival of the Knights Templar. However, we believe that the Moon originated as a farm building in the early 18th centuary with the farmer turning his hand to cider making to supplement his income. Garway is in an adorable setting on a south-facing slope of the Monnow vale in Herefordshire. We face 23 acres of common land, with Wales and the Black Mountains in the background. 1st and foremost the purpose of most persons staying with us is to unwind. The setting is untouched by main touring, din pollution or any necessary up-to-date infrastructure. We are encircled by vast farming communities and, as such, customers able to indeed enjoy a village that is quick disappearing across most of the UK. There are a lot of activities that you are able to partake in while staying with us. They comprise open-air pursuits such as cliff climbing, hole golf, fishing and shooting or visiting places such as the Golden Valley and Brecon Beacons. Other local sights also comprise the Herefordshire Cider Route and local Food Festivals such as Hereford, Ludlow or Abergavenny.
