Its varied exterior, with its black and white timbered, Elizabethan and Georgian elements, portrays a wealthy heritage dating back to the C15th. Right in the middle of one of the North Yorks Moors' prettiest countrysides, the guesthouse is elegantly appointed, blending antiques with classic modern design. Primarily a training inn, it thrived throughout the twentieth century and became a well-know refuge for those escaping from everyday life. In essence, that's restful what we do today. Customers come here to stroll in the North York Moors National Park, enjoy Helmsley's plenty of butiques and galleries, stay prominent landmarks like York Minster, Castle Howard and Rievaulx Abbey, and test Whitby and the beach.
