High Grassings grange stands in an elevated situation embedded in fifteen acres of woody fell side with breath taking mountain vistas. Our big grounds are inhabited by a range of wild life including scarlet deer, roe deer, scarlet squirrel and a array of songbirds. We also have have ponds and streams, which makes this one of the majority quiet settings in the Lake District but furthermore within immediate vicinity to Ambleside, Windermere, Bowness and Kendal for those who would like to boutique, take in the traveller's sights and perhaps adore the nightlife. We are within short distance to Hawkshead Village where there are many butiques and eateries. Also short strolling distance to the popular local Inn, Drunken Duck which provides a magnificent restaurant .Tarn Hows (once owned by Beatrix Potter) stroll around the lake and take in the astonishing vistas of the surronding hills Old Man of Coniston, Langdale Pikes and Fairfield to name several is also on the doorstep and within short distance. There are a lot of other strolls you are able to do from the cottage so you don't have to use the auto.
