By auto: Hastings is around 90 minutes' drive from London through the A21. The Channel Tunnel and the ferry ports of Dover and Newhaven are within an hour's drive and we produce a superb base for exploration other cities in the region such as Brighton (1 hour), Rye (20mins), Lewes (50mins), Tunbridge Wells (30mins) or Eastbourne (30mins). There is a lot of car parking at Black Rock House too, just ask for a visitor's permit on arrival. By train: Black Rock House also makes a great base for those without their own transportation. Trains from Hastings go straight to London, Ashford (for the EuroStar to the Continent), Gatwick, Eastbourne, Brighton and Rye.
