General Information

Nestled in Grasmere Village in the center of the English Lake District, Oak Bank Hotel is totally positioned to discover the nearby lakes, fells and tarns. Oak Bank features 2 lounges both with many comfy sofas and armchairs to unwind in. The facade hall features a converted collection and the brasserie hall features a genuine log/coal fire and unsurprisingly a brasserie! Breakfast and dinner are catered in our Two AA Rosette presented scenic breakfast room and greenhouse facing the park which you're welcome to sit in or stroll down to experience the River Rothay as it passes by on its way to Lake Grasmere. Garden your auto at the facade of the guesthouse and you could leave it there for the duration of your visit! We have membership to the Langdale Spa, widely-known for a swim, sauna & steam, a workout or treatment and propose independent Wi-Fi I-net access for those of you who need to keep in touch with the outside world! If you are able to only visit for one night or a month, we ensure you that our purpose is to produce your break or vacation a halcyon and relaxing one.

Dining at Oak Bank will be a highlight of your visit. Why? Well, we have a deservedly scenic image for our food because we use high quality fresh ingredients, a lot of locally sourced from reputable suppliers within Cumbria whether possible, to make well-known dishes - we even produce our own breads, pasta, sauces, jus, sorbets and ice creams, so whether you have an allergy to something, we should be can tell you exactly what is in the food. Apart from that when a dish is made from scratch it just tastes better, however, we do let Heinz produce the beans and HP the brown sauce for lunch! The AA also rates our restaurant as they presented us a Rosette in 2009 and then Two Rosettes in April 2010. The criterion for achieving this award is "Excellent restaurants, which purpose for and achieve higher standards, better consistency and where a greater precision is apparent in the cooking. There will be obvious care to the selection of quality ingredients. " Dinner is normally catered between 6. 30 & 8. 00 p.m. Make yourself comfy in one of the lounges as you peruse the choice 4 course daily changing carte menu, maybe with an aperitif from our well stocked brasserie. A choice of marvellous wine from around the world is also attainable to complement your meal. When your food is almost prepared to be catered we will take you to your desk, to enjoy dinner at your pace not ours. A range of coffee or tea able to be delighted with petit fours in the lounges after your meal. Breakfast is catered between 8. 30 & 9. 30 a.m. each day. After a calm night's sleep choose from our commodious breakfast carte menu, if you’d like a light breakfast of fruit then lately baked croissants, or muesli with yoghurt then smoked salmon and scrambled egg, or a more hearty breakfast of porridge then the Oak Bank Grill, we will set you up for the day, whatever you plan to do.

Oak Bank features fourteen individualy colored en-suite Bedrooms in 3 various grades to suit your needs: Six Standard Rooms have a double bed & a shower apartment en-suite. Two are on the ground floor with the other 4 on the 2nd floor. Exceptional Rooms, of which there are 5, are slightly larger and have king size beds in 2 suites and super-king or twin beds in 3 apartments. In Room 11 we able to fit a Z-Bed in to take a third person. They all have en-suite bathrooms with a shower over the bath and are all located on the ground floor. The 3 Superior Plus Rooms are all highly various: The Iris Room is on the ground floor and features a king size 4 placard bed, en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a veranda with reclined simple chairs overlooking south. Suite 15 is an extensive apartment on the ground floor and features super-king or twin beds, a sofa that able to convert into a little double bed & an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the double ended bath. The Acorn Suite is an immense suite on the 1st floor and features its own facade door, super-king or twin beds, seating district, and a baths bathroom en-suite. The bath does have a shower attachment but you're not can stand under the shower. All Bedrooms have a flat screen Television with the accessible Freeview and Radio Channels for Cumbria, Hospitality Tray, Hairdryer, Shaver Socket and Bath House Toiletries. Further to, Superior and Superior Plus Rooms have complimentary Still and Sparkling Lakeland Willow Spring Water. Exceptional Plus Rooms also have a Cafetière with Farrer’s Ground Coffee and Bathrobes.
