General Information

Kingairloch is situated on the West Coast of Scotland on the Morvern Penninsula. Once crossing the Corran Ferry, The Steadings is approximatley 16 miles along a panoramic waterside drive. The drive takes in the vistas across Loch Linnhe to the Duror Hills and Castle Stalker and abundant wildlife including eagles, wild goats, otters and purple deer. Formerly an estate barn, the structure was rennovated to an environmentally aware standard whilst maintaing the buildings character throughout. Every room is equipped with been uniquely planned using estate tweeds and wonderful selections of accessories; yet the apartment names are derived from the nearby glen and locality. Complete building is on first floor with a roomy corridor and an open plan kitchen and dining region with french doors opening out to a courtyard. There are 3 double King Size suites, one twin and 1 family apartment all of which have en-suite amenities with either a shower or a bath with shower. Every room is equipped with freeview televisions, DVD players, ipod docking, hair dryer and tea/coffee making service. Upon arrival there is a lot of self-sufficient off road/disabled car park and a bike store. Activities such as guided hill strolls, clay pigeon and target shooting, fly fishing and boat trips able to be arranged while you are staying. Kingairloch's own restaurant The Boathouse is approximatley a 1. five miles from The Steadings. Open Thursday - Saturday 11am-9pm and Sunday 11am-3pm and is entirely certificated. Menus focus on fresh local seasonal food; fish and shellfish are landed in Mallaig and fantastic venison, fruit, vegetables are gettable from the estate. At lunchtime there is a choice of platters, venison steaks, burgers, fish and shellfish dishes. Cakes and scones in the afternoon and in the evening there is a big variety including scallops, langoustines, market place fish specials in addition to our venison signature dish. During Sunday lunchtime there is a conventional roast snack for £14. 50 and a little a la menu.
