Balmashanner House, an 18th century state home, proposes quality family Bed and Breakfast lodging for travellers and work persons in the suburbs of Forfar. Our vivid but main location will suit relaxation, work, anglers, walkers, cyclists, shooting, and wildlife customers alike, we also accept dogs for a little fee. There are a lot of places to stroll your dogs within short distance of our property off the major highway allowing you to enjoy this attractive village without any interruption of traffic. Keen golfers have access to the plenty of courses in golf including Carnoustie, St Andrews, and locally there is the Forfar, Arbroath, Montrose, Brechin, Edzell (discount vouchers available), Kirriemuir, Letham Grange Golf Clubs who accept day membership. We have oned kingsize suite, one double suite, one twin suite and 1 single apartment, equiped with a either twin, double or king size beds, a desk for your fine breakfast to be catered by the window in your suite in the morning. The apartments have been newly renowated to a peaceful standard and all of the rooms enjoy Freeview tv and self-sufficient Wi-Fi I-net access for visitors with their own laptops. We cater a choice of suppers, we also serve for the vegetarianvegan diets and have an in apartment carte menu accessible for all our dear guests.

Transportation

Balmashanner is situated only 5 minutes outside the city of Forfar in Angus and the major A90 net to Aberdeen and Dundee. Whether hiking from Forfar Town Centre find Lour Road, follow highway till you get to the 1st crossroads (white house on the left), turn right, follow highway direct up past the cottages on the right and left around the winding highway, grey farm buildings on your left, 200 yards on the left is Balmashanner House. Whether hiking from A90 fusion at Lochlands Garden Centre, turn right or left off dual carriage then immediately right and follow the highway sign posted Ladenford and Lour. When you get to the 1st major highway on the left Craignathro and Balmashanner take this turning, drive up the hill past the cottages and then the farm buildings on your right, we are 200 yards up the hill on the right, big white farmstead.
