General Information

All our apartments are En-suite, with FreeView Televisions, DVD players, Tea/Coffee (FairTrade) making service, MineralSPA Shower Gel & Shampoo and Towels. In Lantern House itself, we provide two Double suites, a Twin apartment and a Triple Room (Please Note: the Triple room is equipped a Double and a Single bed). In Windsor House, our sister holiday hotel, situated at 23 Windsor Street, we provide two Double Rooms. We don't propose daily cleaning, unless the caller especially requires this amenities, for which there will be a £5 surcharge. Towels are automatically changed each 3rd day for visitors staying with us for longer periods. We don't propose breakfast, but in the firsthand environment there are plenty of breakfast places, including the Playfair in the Omnicenter and the eminent Valvona & Crolla. There are lots of Chinese, Italian, Indian and Scottish restaurants within a 100 meter radius: The Tailend, 21212, Hawke & Hunter, Phuket Pavillion, Ghurka Brigade etc. This is the perfect place for you to visit when visiting Edinburgh for Shopping, Rugby Games, Edinburgh Castle, Sight Seeing, Theatre or for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We apologise, however we do not accept Stag or Hen parties since we are situated in a still place, with residential neighbours. During holidays the minimum nights visit at our property is two nights. During Hogmanay and Christmas the minimum visit is four nights. Whether you'll be arriving late, after 10pm, we'd advise booking one of the Lantern House Lower Ground apartments, because they have advanced pin code locks which allow self check-in. Parking - there is on boulevard car park which costs 1 pound an hour, with a maximum visit of four hours. On holidays and month days from 17. 30 - 08. 30 car park is independent. There is also a multi storey car parking not far from in the Omni Centre. The closest independent car park is situated in the Easter Road district.
