General Information

The International is a cute Victorian verandah cottage located 1. five miles south of Princes streeton the major A701. Lying on the major bus route, access to the City Centre is simple. Private car park. The International features earned the informal title of Edinburgh'premier holiday hotel, with its delicate mix of warm Scottish cordiality, Victorian elegance and new comfort. The style is celebrated, with originl ornateplasterwork. The full Scottish breakfasts, catered on the best bone china, are a delight. All bedrooms are majesticly furnished, and furthermore to full en-suite amenities, and teacoffee cordiality tray. Some apartments enjoy marvelous views across to the extinct volcano of Arthur'Seat. Visitors have their own facade door key, to come and go as they please.


Transportation

From South M6A74 From the A74 take the A701 and follow the signs for Edinburgh. After 50 miles, you'll see 'International Guest House' on the right. From South M1. Take the A68 from Scotch Corner, through Jedburgh and Dalkeith. After Dalkeith the highway will merge with the A7 where you follow the City Centre signs. After two. five miles (4 km) bear left onto Craigmillar Park, then Mayfield Gardens. Quarter a mile further on you'll see 'International Guest House' on the right. Alternatively: Take the A1 round the waterside route and combine the A720 City Bypass as you approach the town. Leave the Bypass at the 1st mix (Sheriffhall Roundabout) and combine the A7 signposted Edinburgh where it merges with the A68. Then as above. From Glasgow The M8 Motorway now terminates at a roundabout known as the 'Edinburgh Interchange'. On the roundabout take the third exit signposted 'Edinburgh South and East' and unite the A720 City Bypass. Continue on the bypass till Straiton mix, leave the bypass and combine the A701. From North M90 Follow signs for City Centre, Princes Street, and Berwick Upon Tweed A1 and East that will take you along Queen Street. Go directly at the roundabout ('All other routes'), keeping John Lewis on your right. Go direct on at the traffic lights and left on to North Bridge, keeping the New Balmoral Hotel on your right. Continue direct on till the highway becomes Mayfield Gardens. Alternatively: follow the signs for City Bypass and proceed as for Glasgow arrivals. (This route, although slightly longer, avoids all town confusion). From Edinburgh Airport Follow the A8 trunk highway to the 'Edinburgh Interchange'. Follow signs for A720 Berwick and South then continue as above (from Glasgow). By Rail Exit from Waverley Station by highway entry turning right up on to Princes Street. Cross over to the boutiques side for buses numbered three, 31, and 69 or 80 hiking east. Bus will immediately turn right on to North Bridge. Travel along the major route till boutiques finish and HotelsGuest Houses commence. Exit on mayfield Gardens, The International, is 15 yards, from the bus stop. Bus journeys should take around 10 minute.
