Directions From South M6/A74 From the A74 take the A702 through BIGGAR, which will bring you on to the A720 City Bypass. Combine the Bypass where signposted 'Edinburgh South & East'. Leave the Bypass at the 1st mix marked 'Straiton Junction', combine the A701 and follow the signs for City Centre. After two. five miles (4 km) bear left onto Craigmillar Park. Quarter a mile further on you'll see 'Ben Craig House' on the right. From South M1. Take the A68 from Scotch Corner, through Jedburgh and Dalkeith. After Dalkeith the highway will merge with the A7 where you follow the City Centre signs. After two. five miles (4 km) bear left onto Craigmillar Park. Quarter a mile further on you'll see 'Ben Craig House' on the right. Alternatively: Take the A1 round the waterside route and combine the A720 City Bypass as you approach the town. Leave the Bypass at the 1st combination (Sheriffhall Roundabout) and combine the A7 signposted Edinburgh where it merges with the A68. Then as above. From Glasgow The M8 Motorway now terminates at a roundabout known as the 'Edinburgh Interchange'. On the roundabout take the third exit signposted 'Edinburgh South & East' and unite the A720 City Bypass. Continue on the bypass till Straiton combination, leave the bypass and unite the A701 as for M6 traffic. From North M90 Follow signs for City Centre, Princes Street, and Berwick Upon Tweed A1 & East that will take you along Queen Street. Go directly at the roundabout ('All other routes'), keeping John Lewis on your right. Go direct on at the traffic lights and left on to North Bridge, keeping the New Balmoral Hotel on your right. Continue direct on till the highway becomes Craigmillar Park. Alternatively: follow the signs for City Bypass and proceed as for Glasgow arrivals. (This route, although slightly longer, avoids all town confusion). From Edinburgh Airport Follow the A8 trunk highway to the 'Edinburgh Interchange'. Follow signs for A720 Berwick and South then continue as above (from Glasgow). By Rail Exit from Waverley Station by highway entry turning right up on to Princes Street. Cross over to the boutiques side for buses numbered three, 31, and 69 or 80 hiking east. Bus will immediately turn right on to North Bridge. Travel along the major route till boutiques finish and Hotels/Guest Houses commence. Exit on Craigmillar Park outside the Ben Craig House. Bus journeys should take around ten mins.
