Ashdene House is an excellent four-star, top quality, silent, family-managed Guest House (Scottish Family) which is located 1 mile south of the center of the city, on a leafy side-street. Gold Award winner for Environmental Awareness in Business. Appropriately situated for major treveller park amusements, theatres, downtown, train station, University, etc. Prime local bus facilities and simple stroll to downtown. Providing wonderful lodging for the treveller or work traveller alike. All suites are non smoking and have BT Openzone Wi-fi access (chargeable unless you have an access code). From downtown, take Lothian Bus No. 42 from Waverley Bridge going south to Mayfield Church, then cross highway to Fountainhall Rd. From A720 (City By-Pass) take A701 towards downtown for 1. five miles. Then take left lane into Mayfield Road. Turn left at Mayfield Church onto Fountainhall Road.
