General Information

Ty Seren (in English Star House) is a 209 year ancient former woolen mill situated in the very heart of the exquisite market place city of Dolgellau, Gwynedd. Whether you like tranquillity and calmness in an acceptable family-managed Bed and Breakfast then this is the venue for you. The lodging - all on the ground floor - consists three individualy colored en-suite apartments with tea trays and televisions; a family apartment sleeping up to 4, a double apartment and a single apartment. We able to specifically serve for groups of up to 6 Mountain Bikers coming to the surrounding Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike Centre, as we have prime storage in our wide vault and washing service for muddy bikes and clothes. The cottage features a lot of character has, such as slate flagstones, oak staircase, extensive inglenook hearth and oak beams, and further features the greatly uncommon feature of an exterior 'stone' staircase winding round the rear of the structure. Ty Seren lies just off of the major piazza of Dolgellau, a mins stroll from the nearest pubrestaurant and in addition 2 min stroll from Ty Siamas, the recent National Folk Music Centre of Wales. The cottage itself features a checkered heritage, at one time being a pub called The Star (Seren is Welsh for Star), at another housing 3 evacuated families on the 'open plan' weaving floor up-stairs, we also have one of the earliest flat roof boutique extensions in the region,


Transportation

On entering the city by any of the 4 entry highways you'll eventually unite a one way system, Meyrick Street is at the upper end of this one way system, where it meets the central Eldon Square. Follow the one way system round the city branching right at every of the forks, after passing on the left in fast succession a pub named the Unicorn, a jewellers called Scott's, a branch of Thresher's and an ample scarlet painted hardware boutique named J P and Sons, turn IMMEDIATE left into Meyrick Street. Ty Seren is 50 yards up on the right hand side, the white facade door adjacent to a black painted boutique. Whether you pass the Catholic Church, then you have gone too far!
