At the Raby Hunt we intend to achieve a specific dining experience in our cosy up-to-date restaurant which will appeal to all, from a tranquil dinner for 2 to that unique family occasion. Our carte menu is predominately British with European influences. We feature fresh locally sourced ingredients and have a superb wine vault that brags a lot of particularly selected wines from the ancient and current world. 2 present-day modish bedrooms propose customers more time to visit and test the region or the possibility to have a superior dinner and then enjoy a charming Raby Hunt breakfast the following morning. The Raby Hunt features 2 recently remodelled bars and an unspoiled outside seating district all are ideal for that casual ale or a glass of wine. The Raby Hunt Inn features constantly been an Inn since it was constructed in the early 1800’s. Being on an old-time drovers highway to Northumberland and Scotland it initially had ample stables, which are now converted into cottages. Initially part of the Raby estate it was also a favouite meeting and finishing point for the Old Raby Hunt, a lot of a stirrup cup will have been drunk here and able to quiet be had here in the 2 recently remodelled bars. Head cook James Close is thoroughly passionate approximately his food and features lived and breathed each aspect of it from a highly young age, being brought up in Grove House an award winning hotel run by his mother. Realising his passion for food through a lot of trips to Europe at an early age he features been influenced by their markets, conventional restaurants and cultures. James believes in easy ideas and well tried combinations, a stylish british fashion using the best seasonal make from a strong net of suppliers. Our carte menu will change each 3 or 4 weeks keeping several favourites depending on the season. We also feature specials.
