General Information

seventeenth centuty converted woollen mill on the banks of the River Clwyd between Ruthin and Corwen. Hafannedd is situated on the A494, at the center of 3 outstandingly scenic areas; the Dee Valley, Clwydian Range and the Snowdonia National Park. The historic town of Chester is an simple 40-minute drive away. We have 2 self-catering suites, the Studio and the Mill (both sleep up to 5) accessible within the previous mill building and the Cottage (sleeps up to 4) in the grounds. The grounds extend to almost two acres and comprise a paddock for toys, a barbecue district and spacious outside seating. The Studio resides the upper floor of the previous mill and includes one vast studio apartment with one or 2 detach bedrooms, bathroom and supplementary toilet; it features an free external staircase entry. The Studio also holds a TVDVDCD player and kitchen district with refrigerator, microwave, sink and hob. The Mill holds 2 or 3 bedrooms and, having access with no steps and a 'sitting bath' and shower, is good for people with reduced mobility. It also features a hall with TVDVDCD player and a kitchen with sink, cooker, microwave, refrigerator etc The Cottage holds 2 bedrooms (double and twin) and downstairs a through hall with TVDVDCD player and a kitchen with sink, cooker, microwave, refrigerator etc. A peculiar feature of the Cottage is the deck facing the river (see photos). The communal district serves all units and consists of storage roomdrying district, with washer and a computer, printer and scanner with broadband connection for visitor use. Wifi is obtainable throughout the structure and grounds. The premises is perfectly centrally heated and all units also have wood-burning stoves. There is ample private car park within the grounds. Prices shown are per unit and fully inclusive of all linen, towels, fuel, electricity and basic foodstuffs - more than enough for breakfasts or a lunch on arrival. Bookings able to be made for exactly the period you want with a minimum of 2 nights at any time of the year. Please take into account we CANNOT accept bookings from single sex groups.

Transportation

Hafannedd is situated in central North Wales, approximately an hour by auto from Liverpool or 45 mins from Chester. Manchester Airport is one and a half hours away, Liverpool Airport approximately an hour and a quarter. Hafannedd features its own entry directly off the A494 between Ruthin and Corwen. Whether you're coming from the north (Ruthin), after passing through Pwllglas look out for the ancient chapel on the left of the highway, go round the bend, past the chapel and our entry is immediately on the right. From the south (Corwen) after passing through Bryn Saith Marchog look out for a layby on the right with a little postbox and row of cottages; our entry is opposite.
