General Information

The Castle Hotel is located smack in the midst of World Heritage Town of Conwy with part of the guesthouse dating back to the 1600's. At the turn of the nineteenth Century the inn had a captivating overlook elevator of local granite and Ruabon brick and is now one of Conwy's most photographed buildings. In the last four years, the guesthouse features had a main upgrade to its 28 bedrooms & suites, including the Wynn Suite with a greatly magnificent, ornately carved 4 placard bed dated 1570 and Caer Rhun Suite, the whole with two person jacuzzi bath! The guesthouse serves local food in freshly planned Dawson bar and brasserie. In winter months Conwy mussels are fantastic and the Welsh beef and lamb are sourced from farms locally. Reservations are necessary on busy nights, specifically Saturdays.


Transportation

Conwy is on the A55 expressway from Chester to Holyhead, off Junction 18 when hiking west and J17 eastbound. Follow signs for Conwy, using the medievel palace as your landmark. Conwy features narrow streets and so uses a one way traffic management system, visit on the one way system in a clockwise direction, effectively circumnavigating the city walls. This will bring you parallel with the estuary and quay, hiking along Berry avenue. The panorama of the Castle is precisely ahead. Just before a light managed pedesrian crossing, turn right up High Street,
