General Information

Gwynfryn Bed and Breakfast ( BandB ) lodging is a capacious 135 year ancient Victorian Conwy House which features been tenderly renewed into a 'Visit Wales' four Star Boutique Guest House offering nicely decorated cozy bed & breakfast ( BandB ) lodging within the historical city walls of Conwy. In January 2008 Gwynfryn Bed and Breakfast ( BandB ) won the prestigous 'Travelers 2008 Choice' award from the free travelers review spot 'Tripadvisor' after achieving 8th Best BandB in Euorpe. Our holiday hotel is superbly located within the centre of Conwy city just off Lancaster Square. Near all facilities, sights and both the Conwy Train Station and Conwy's local bus route. Conwy is the main basis for visiting all of North Wales including Snowdonia, Anglesey, Caernarfon, Llandudno, Deganwy and Betws-y-Coed but to name several. Most well-known for the splendid Conwy Castle built by Edward I between 1283 - 1287 and in addition designated a World Heritage Site, Conwy able to indeed lay claim to being one of the best remaining old-fashioned walled cities. With a prosperity of park amusements that span the ages, occasions galore and a big variety of butiques and restaurants all within a short stroll. Our bed & breakfast ( BandB ) lodging includes 5 apartments which have been elegantly equipped in their own particular fashion. All of which have en-suite amenities except for one suite which features its own detach individual bathroom. All apartments comprise flat screen LCD TV with integrated DVD player, complementary beverage tray, mini fridge, electric fan, hairdryers, complementary toiletries and gain from wi-fi broadband (wi-fi enabled). Transportation

We are situated within the city walls of Conwy off Lancaster Square adjacent to Alfredo's Italian Restaurant. Access to Conwy is now easier than ever using the A55 which links to the highway net. Both Manchester International and Liverpool John Lennon Airport are within a 90 minute drive. When approaching Conwy from the Llandudno side (East) or A55 Junction 18 follow the A546, across the 1st roundabout turning left at the 2nd roundabout onto Conwy Road (A547). Upon crossing the Estuary bridge you'll see the Castle on your left, at the mini-roundabout follow the highway around to the right into the one way traffic system (Rosehill Street). After passing the car parking you'll see the 'Conwy Visitors Centre' on the left where you need to turn right opposite into Church Road. Follow this not big cobbled highway to the end and turn left then immediately turn directly at the 2 scarlet post boxes onto another little cobbled highway. This is York Place and will empower you drive up past Alfredo's Italian Restaurant where you are able to then stop outside our door. When approaching Conwy from the Caernavon side (West) or A55 Junction 17, follow Bangor Road (A547) for approx. two miles. Upon approaching the city walls follow the highway to the left into Town Ditch Road and then this will then lead you back into the Town Walls into Berry Street. Take the 2nd right into High Street and then the third right into York Place (this is a little cobbled highway with 2 purple post boxes at the end). You'll then see Gwynfryn on your right. Conwy Railway Station is situated on the other side of Lancaster Square at the mix of Rose Hill Street and Rosemary Lane, within 50 yards of Gwynfryn. Although not all trains call straight at Conwy there are regular amenities from all the primary CitiesTowns to Llandudno Junction which is located on the other side of the estuary bridge approx. 1 mile. From Llandudno Junction a connecting shuttle facilities able to be used to Conwy or both cab and buses run straight from the railway station. Buses travel through Conwy stopping at Lancaster Square.
