The Rothesay is a family run hotel, which is set well back from the highway on the edge of the countryside of Highcliffe, in the prior grounds of Highcliffe Castle in Christchurch, Dorset. The Rothesay is situated a 5 minute amble from the fairy tale Highcliffe Castle, with pretty rock upper strolls, vistas across the water to the Isle of Wight and award winning unspoiled beaches, leading to Keyhaven in one direction and Christchurch river in the other. 5 min drive will take you into the New Forest, once the hunting ground of William the Conqueror and now the newest national garden in Great Britain, where horses, cows and pigs (at certain times of the year) roam freely with “right of way” over today’s autos and lorries and a lot of traditions remain largely unchanged. In this place you can see the stately home of Lord Montague in Beaulieu, he able to often be seen driving or strolling around his home which is also the site of The National Motor Museum. The Rothesay is certificated to cater clients with alcoholic beverages, both in their suites and in the hall and a truly spacious selection of drinks are constantly accessible.
