Previously an old-time training inn as early as 1763, the Kings Arms is a little family run conventional tavern, providing a warm and high-quality service with prime cuisine catered in our freshly stretched restuarant. Locally their are a lot of activities, such as several local fisheries for the angler, the Capernwray Dive Centre, Equestrian and open-air pursuit centres for those wanting an alive break and for those wanting the more slow break we are ideally sited to discover the region and then come back to unwind in a conventional training inn based in a beautiful Cumbrian Village. For those passing through and needing a short stopover the Kings Arms is five mins off the the M6 at Junction 35 or 36 and is a beautiful stop over place for those desiring to break long journeys up to Scotland or down South.


Transportation

From the North By auto Leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 36, bear 1st left off the roundabout and take the third exit off the following roundabout on to the A6070 for Burton and Holme, travel three miles until you enter the countryside of Burton the Kings Arms Hotel is in the very heart of the vilalge on the left hand side, turn in to the right after the Kings and there is an extensive car parking at the back of the site. From The South By Car Leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 35, bear 1st left off the roundabout and drive towards A6 at the following roundabout take the second exit to A6 Milnthorpe and drive approx 1mile to next roundabout at the vacation countryside take the 2nd exit off the roundabout towards Tewitfield Locks on the A6070 and drive for three miles in to the center of the viallge the Kings Arms Hotel is on your left, please turn in to the left before the kings and there is a spacious parking at the back of the site. Rail: Burton is close to the major West Coast Line and able to be accessed by means of cab or bus from Carnforth Station (4 miles) from the South or Oxenholme station ( seven miles) from the NorthBus: The countryside is on a major bus route the 555 and 557 a panoramic bus route which runs between Lancaster, via the center of the lake region and up to Carlisle and back, this stops in the countryside piazza 50metres North of the Kings Arms.
