General Information

A family run hotel, currently in it is third generation. We unite the conventional values of a friendly ambience and picturesque, fresh food, locally sourced where possible, and an unofficial, yet gallant service. Having just past its centenary year, our vivid Edwardian hotel was built in the Arts and Crafts period. The structure is embedded in its own mature, well kept terraces, only 5 min stroll away from Buxton heart, with its many sights including the Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens. The hotel offers and superb base to discover the Peak District and locality, or as a site to slip away from and unwind. Our cozy brasserie lounges are perfect to sit back in and watch the world go by. If coming to Buxton for an activity packed vacation or a tranquil escape the Alison Park Hotel could be just what you are searching for. Dinner and snacks are attainable in our Restaurant, we do ask that these are pre booked. Brasserie Meals are accessible throughout the day (10am-8.00pm) these do not need to be pre booked.

Transportation

From the West; M6 leave at combination 19 into Knutsford, on the A537 follow signs for Macclesfield, visit on this highway into Macclesfield, once in Macclesfield visit on this highway following signs for Buxton. Out of Macclesfield follow this highway over Cat and Fiddle past the pub. This becomes the A54. As you approach Buxton turn left onto the A53 signposted city center. At the traffic lights take the right hand highway past the Duke of York pub and follow Macclesfield Road, at the 5 way cross highway turn right and you'll see the black and white building that is the guesthouse. From the East; M1 leave at Junction 23A onto A453 signposted Nottingham and Derby, at the roundabout take the exit signposted A50 (Stoke). Follow signs for Ashbourne on the A515, through Ashbourne on the same highway now following signs for Buxton. Entering the city you'll come to an ample crossroads with traffic lights and the London Road pub opposite you, take the 2nd turning on the left onto West Road, at the huge blend take the left hand turning and you'll see the guesthouse in facade of you.
