Welcome to The Great House Hotel, a grade II listed building, believed to have been a gift from Queen Elizabeth 1 to the Earl of Leicester for use as a hunting lodge. More contemporary day Royal connections are by means of His Royal Highness Charles, Prince of Wales who features visited when hiking throughout Wales. Appropriately situated just five minutes from M4 junctions 35 and 37, the guesthouse is situated in the centre of the Conservation countryside of Laleston and faces the old countryside church. Some of the attractions not far from comprise the antique thatched countryside of Merthyr Mawr and Candleston Dunes. We are also well positioned for a variety of strolls and ten courses in golf including the championship courses at The Royal Porthcawl and Pyle and Kenfig. Margam Abbey and Country Park are also only 5 minutes away. Leicester's Restaurant at The Great House features twice been presented Country Restaurant of the Year and retains two AA Rosettes. There is also a little wellness room with a sauna, Jacuzzi and keep fit equipping. Independent over-the-air broadband access.
