The centuries have been kind to the Crown Inn and Hotel at Blockley, which was constructed in 1575. Like lively wine, it has aged to perfection. It maintains its role in the center of this small Cotswold community, although its amenities have been upgraded to ensure that they comply with the most fastidious of present-day day tourists. The cobbled patio has been replaced by a courtyard where visitors may read their morning newspapers and local persons and their friends can enjoy coffee or afternoon teas. The hall is well equipped with simple chairs, a settee and a useful supply of books and desk toys. The enterprising team designed here an unofficial and welcoming hotel with a most relaxing ambiance. The head of the team individually supervises the efficacious and courteous amenities, while our head cook exercises his enthusiastic talents in the kitchen, the dinning apartment and the busy brasserie. International and English cuisine is a feature of the The Coach House Restaurant, with all dishes personally ready. The Crown Inn and hotel reflects the silent nature of Blockley, with its strolls along bridle paths, bowls on the countryside green and horse riding.

Batsford Arboretum is tucked away on a south overlooking escarpment of the well-known Cotswold Hills, next to Blockly at the Crown Inn. Chipping Campden (6 km) is an old town with a lot of gorgeous buildings. From St James Church to Dover's Hill, all nestling in quiet and idyllic village. These buildings give a plethora of architectural styles across the centuries. This is conservation district is a spot of widely-known natural beauty.
Travel information
Take mix 8 off the northbound M40 and unite the A40 towards Oxford. Follow this highway till you get to a turning signposted for Evesham on the A44. Follow the A44 towards Evesham through Woodstock, Chipping Norton and Moreton and you'll approach Bourton on the Hill. Travel through Bourton on the Hill and The Crown is signposted off the A44 between Bourton and Broadway.

Reservations must be cancelled two days in good time of your arrival date. In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, an amount equivalent to one night average cost of lodging will be charged. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
