On our greatly doorstep is Gorcombe Farm which provides a big variety of occasions and activities for the adventurous including paintball, shooting, archery, fishing, quad bikes and peculiar vehicle experiences. Blandford Forum located on the River Stour is a city which was rebuilt in 1731 after a peerless fire destroyed much of the heart, the business was completed within 30 years by the Bastard brothers, who were noted period architects. As a result, the city is the best conserved Georgian cities in England. The market is much as it features been for over 2 hundred years and tranquil retains a weekly market place on Thursdays and Saturdays. The city hosts the month long Great Dorset Steam Fair each September, a capacious gathering of steam tractors and stationary engines.
