General Information

The majestic Victorian manor house was constructed in the 1830's, commissioned by sir William Olgilvy who on his return from Waterloo chose Loyal Hillas the property for this brilliant home. This grange was changed into a greatly well-known hotel in the center of Scotland in 1945. The lounge is modeled on one of the superb lounges from the prominent steamship the Mauritania and features warmed, greeted and comforted its visitors in the same peculiar way as in the days of Sir William Ogilvy himself. Our 17 on room bedrooms are all with tea/coffee making service, satellite TV, phone and free i-net connection. Our very acclaimed restaurant brags a broad a la menu offering conventional, yet imaginative food using local fish, game and make. Transportation

Follow the A94 from Dundee or Blairgowrie, turn right or left into the city of Alyth and continue down the major highway untill you see the market place piazza on your right. Turn right before the market place piazza and follow the highway left, continue up the hill and follow the highway to the right into Hill st after 50 yards turn left at the Lands of Loyal Hotel sign post and continue up the highway for 100 yards then turn right into our driveway.
