Friary Dene is located on the A36 and sits between Homewood Park Hotel and Iford Manor. Friary Dene is not in the countryside of Hinton Charter House, rather on the edge of it. Approaching from Bath take the A36 from Bath City Centre in the direction of Warminster. Follow this highway for about four miles and you'll get to a set of traffic lights (the ancient Viaduct pub will be on your right). Go direct through these lights and continue up to the upper of the hill. Pass a left turn for Limpley Stoke and Freshford and continue till you discover a sign for Sharpstone and Freshford. Watchout for signs for Homewood Park Hotel on your left hand side. On your right hand side you'll find a sign post for Wellow and Hinton Charterhouse, do not turn right, keep going for approximately one hundred meters and take the 2nd driveway on the left, you'll enter a gated entry, with pillars either side of you, buzz on the intercom and we will let you in. Friary Dene is on your left hand side, turn left and car park able to be found at the back of the cottage. You're welcome to drop off luggage at the facade of the cottage. Approaching from the South take the principal highways to combine the A36. Pass via the countryside of Woolverton and continue on towards Bath. You'll pass a petrol station on your right hand side, just past this is a turning on your right for Iford Manor keep going past this. The highway bends around to the left, you'll discover a cream fence and wall and Friary Dene over to your right (cream house) you'll need to leisurely in order to turn right in order to enter the gated entry, with pillars either side of you, we will let you into the grounds. Friary Dene is on your left hand side, turn left and car park able to be found at the back of the cottage. You're welcome to drop off luggage at the facade of the cottage.
