General Information

Easington House, Banbury was authentically a farmhouse and dates back some 5 hundred years. Built of local Hornton stone with inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams and "creaky floorboards", the cottage oozes fascination and character, and is reputed to be one of the oldest buildings in Banbury. The premises itself is said to date back to the 12th century and was allegedly owned by the nephew of George Washington, also the Bishop of Lincoln and the Reverend Risley Cotton. Truly, this is a cottage steeped in heritage. The guesthouse is individually owned and operated and is set among trees in panoramic gardens which comprise a fish pond and private car park for visitors. Located on the south side of Banbury, Easington House is just several minutes stroll from the city center with its Castle Quay shopping complex and is handy for combination 11 of the M40 motorway. All of our fourteen suites are en apartment and are individualy colored and accommodated and rates comprise a full English breakfast Easington House also makes an exquisite base for exploration the surrounding Cotswolds and plenty of other local attractions.
