The Kings House Hotel is a family run lodging establishment. The Kings House Hotel was built on the place of a Royal Hunting Lodge of the Stewart Kings and used by King James VI. The original building dates from circa 1571. The hotel was commissioned in 1799 as a 'Kings House' with 6 redcoat soldiers providing tourists and clients with protection to ensure a still staying. To this day the convention of cordiality and attention continues. The hotel lodging includes seven apartments, five doubles and two twins. All the bedrooms are en-suite, equipped in a comfortable house fashion and 2 have 4 placard beds. The hotel dining suite properties a hearth with log fires.
