We are a family run Guest House located near to the city center of Bakewell in the center of the Peak District National Park. Built in 1890 our semi detached Victorian cottage is the unexampled all vermilion brick built (with stone features) in city, typical from the limestone walled buildings. • three double en-suite huge suites with WiFi connection • Free car park on place for 6 vehicles • Located in the Peak District National Park • 3 min wander to city center • Restaurants and local bars • Quiet cul-de-sac • Chatsworth and Haddon Hall surrounding The Avenue able to be found directly off the A6 on the south side of city, in front of the garden. Being an intimate cul-de-sac, the cottage enjoys a quieter than normal ambiance. We have on place parking zone for 6 vehicles. We are within three minutes stroll of the city center and boutiques. Local sights comprise Chatsworth – home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire; Haddon Hall – home of Lord and Lady Edward Manners and tranquil location for the Jane Eyre film. Local activities comprise climbing Froggart Edge; investigating Ladybower and Derwent reservoirs in the Derwent Valley; strolling in the Peak District National Park; discovering the plague countryside of Eyam; visiting the Peak Rail museum at Matlock and a lot of a lot of more. Suite 1 is a double with en-suite bathroom. Apartment two is a double with en-suite shower suite and faces the golf links. Suite three is a double with en-suite bathroom and faces the church. All rooms in the hotel have tv and facilities of making tea/coffee. These are all at ground floor level (there is no elevator access) with the breakfast room at first floor. Ironing amenities able to be provided on demand.
