Nearest AirportsPrestwick - five miles. Glasgow - 35 miles. By Rail Nearest StationAyr - mile. By Road From the South - M6 Follow the M6 till Junction 44, when the M6 joins the M74. Turn left onto the A75 signposted Dumfries. At the Dumfries bypass, take the A76 for Kilmarnock and follow this highway till you get to a roundabout at Cumnock. From here follow signs for Ayr A70. This will take you into the city center. At the 2nd roundabout by the station go direct ahead and follow the signs for the city center. Move into the middle lane to turn directly at the traffic lights and then left at the following set of lights into Miller Road by the Bank of Scotland. At the end of the highway, turn right into Alloway Place and then right into Barns Street at the following set of traffic lights. The inn is in facade of you. From the South Coastal Road - Stranraer Follow the A77 all the way to Ayr and take a left onto the A79 into the city center. At the 'T' blend, turn right into Monument Road. Go direct over the 1st set of traffic lights and left at the 2nd set into Alloway Place and then directly at the next set of lights into Barns Street. The guesthouse is in facade of you. From Glasgow Follow the M8 Junction 22 onto the M77, signposted Prestwick Airport. This will then become the A77, visit on the A77 till you get to the roundabout which indicates 1st left to Ayr (continuing on the A77). At the following roundabout take the third exit into Ayr and pass Tesco's, the Racecourse on the left. Go direct on till you get to a capacious roundabout at Asda and police station. Go direct via the roundabout and turn left at the traffic lights, go over the river and direct through traffic lights at 'Poundstretcher'. Proceed direct till you arrive to a little mini roundabout, go direct till next lights. Turn left into Barns Street, the inn is in facade of you.
