This luxury family hotel, in three acres of lonely terraces beside the River Nent, in the pretty Eden District of Cumbria, features been presented two rosettes for food by the AA. Transportation

From THE M6: take combination 40 on the M6 and follow the A686 to Alston. Turn right on the B6277 signposted to Barnard Castle and then take the 1st left, the A689 to Nenthead, Stanhope and Durham. The lobby to the guesthouse is two miles along this highway on the left at the fusion with the B6294.
