The up-to-date Owners, propose a warm Northumbrian welcome to all clients at their recently opened Bed & Breakfast, in the historic city of Alnwick, Northumberland. The Acorns is located in a leafy tranquil location, within short distance of all of Alnwick's park amusements, including the prestigious Alnwick Garden, and further Alnwick Castle - illustrious for its starring roles in films such as Harry Potter. We are also advantageously located for relaxation of access to the A1, and so form a nice base to discover all that our elegant and special district can offer - beach, palaces, country and more!! At The Acorns renowned attention features been taken to assure that our apartments and amenities are well-appointed to procide our clients a level of comfort they would expect from a latest hotel. Additionally, as we are a little family run work, we hope our dear guests will adore the individual service and care to detail that we can to afford them. We want all our dear guests to enjoy their visit at the Acorns, to this end we respectfully demand that complete cottage is maintained a smoke independent zone. We are glad to offer an ashtray for smokers to use in the park. Records show that there features been a Castle here since the 11th Century. Now dubbed the 'Windsor of the North', it features been the home of the Percy family (Earls and Dukes of Northumberland) for 7 centuries. Well-known names such as Robert Adam and Capability Brown facilitate develop the Castle and grounds to their current splendour. In more new times the Castle features been used as a stylish backdrop for some main films, and is perhaps now more well-known in its role as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. Alnwick Castle is a fashionable guest attraction, with a museum, country apartments, and huge grounds to discover. There is a full programme of activities to keep the children and all muggles entertained too!
