The pet welcoming Hope and Anchor is reputed to be one of the oldest buildings in the popular seaside resort countryside of Alnmouth. It features been an Inn for as long as persons able to remember, and its walls will surely carry secrets and stories, which only they able to tell. The scenic area of Northumberland features lots to propose, from long stretches of deserted sandy beaches to a surplus of historic palaces and sites. All of our lodging is perfectly apt as a base to discover the many attractions & sounds of the area. We have storage for bikes as we are on part of the Coast & Castle route. Today, after a long period of renovation, John and Barbara Davison has to offer you a tranquil base from which you are able to adore the pleasure of the history coastline, courses in golf, cycle ways, strolls and vast sandy beaches. There are two huge family apartments, four double suites and one single suite, all with en-suite showers and WCs. You can have a rest in our cozy and well stocked brasserie, and re-fuel your energy levels in our unofficial restaurant. We have freshly won an award for our food as we use only the best local organic ingrediants and everything is homemade (including the chips). We provide a childrens carte menu where everything is fresh and homemade. We have a choice of true ales from around the area. Dogs are more than welcome to come and visit with us at no supplementary charge. They are also allowed in the brasserie and our ale park. We able to also give ample suite and providing for that particular occassion, be it a wedding reception desk, birthday party or meeting.
