Hotel information
The hotel's Spa and Wellness heart is furnished with a range of service. These comprise inner pool, open-air pool (open in the summer months), sauna, steam suite, tanning studio, sport zone and massage suite. The hotel offers I-net connect for an additional charge. Wi-fi i-net is accessible in most apartments and some apartments are furnished with analogue I-net connection.
Room information
From its south-facing suites, the Kronenhof proposes a vista of the glacier - the Roseg Glacier – specific for a European 5* hotel. All of our rooms are furnished with bathroom and shower, minibar, security deposit box and TV. Some are furnished with analogue I-net access, however all suites propose Wireless I-net access. Supplementary beds are accessible at a charge for kids aged seven to 11 of CHF 50 per day and from age 12 onwards CHF 80 per day.
Food & beverage
The hotel has several places for you to enjoy food and refreshments. The hotel has two restaurants. The restaurants cater a range of meals including a few various buffets in addition to a carving trolley. The hotel also has a kids' restaurant where kids can eat under the supervision of trained child minders. The kids' restaurant is for kids aged three and over. You are able also enjoy refreshments at either the Kronenhof brasserie, Bowling side street or on the Pavillon. The Kronenhof brasserie is open daily from 11: 00 until late and its experienced brasserie personnel can give you a range of cocktails. The brasserie also privileges from its own pianist from 21:00. The Pavillon is an outside region that is open all year round. From here you are able to enjoy spectacular vistas while enjoys light lunches and drinks till dusk.
Area information
The hotel is situated in the center of Pontresina, 1800 meters above sea level. Pontresina is situated 6 kms from St Moritz. The district proposes a range of activities and park amusements all year round. In the summer clients can take part in mountaineering, golf at one of the four courses in the region, fly fishing, mountain biking, wind surfing and river rafting and canoeing. In the winter the district provides a range of skiing choices for all levels and styles. Strolling and Nordic strolling paths are also close by, in addition to ice skating and curling. There are a lot of treveller park amusements in the district including The Schiefer Tower, Castle Tarasp and the Druid Stones.
Travel information
Hiking by train: You travel as far as Chur with the SBB (Schweizerischen Bundesbahn – Swiss National Railways). From Chur you continue on the quick, up-to-date trains of the RhB. To produce your trip by train more cozy, produce use of the Fly-Rail-Baggage facilities. The trip from Zürich to Pontresina takes approximately four hours. Hiking by auto Whether you approach from the north, south, east or west, the Swiss alpine district provides you with scenic quality, well-maintained highways. Enjoy a summer drive over nice alpine passes. In winter, the Rhätische Bahn will take you and your vehicle from Klosters through the Vereina Tunnel to the Lower Engadine, or from Thusis through the Albula Tunnel directly to the Upper Engadine. Directions from Zurich Airport Leave the airport on the motorway towards Zurich/Chur (green signs). The route will take you through the town of Zurich. Follow the signs to Chur till you get to the A3 motorway (13 km). Take the motorway as far as the Chur bypass (127 km) and continue till it changes to a dual-carriageway national route (138 km). Follow the signs to Thusis/San Bernardino. Leave the national route in Thusis Süd (154 km) at the exit for Tiefencastel/Julierpass/St. Moritz. From Tiefencastel drive over the Julier Pass as far as Silvaplana (209 km) and then continue towards St. Moritz. Just after Silvaplana continue towards St. Moritz/samedan. At the roundabout after Celerina turn to the right and drive towards Pontresina. From here there are just several kilometre to the countryside Pontresina, where you can find the Grand Hotel Kronenhof. Distance: approx. 220 km; travel time approx. 21⁄2 to three hours Directions from Milan Drive from the Stazione Centrale (central railway station) along Viale Zara towards Monza (17 km), then onto the national route SS 36 towards Lecco (48 km). From Lecco follow the signs towards Sondrio/Chiavenna as far as Colico. At Colico take the exit towards Chiavenna. At Chiavenna (120 km) take the route over the Maloja Pass (151 km) towards St. Moritz. Just after Silvaplana continue towards St. Moritz/samedan. At the roundabout after Celerina turn to the right and drive towards Pontresina. From here there are just several kilometre to the countryside Pontresina, where you can find the Grand Hotel Kronenhof. Distance: approx. 168 km; travel time approx. three hours Directions from Munich Take the motorway A95 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. After the Garmisch Tunnel (88 km) follow the signs to Ehrwald/Fernpass. Drive over the Fern Pass to Nassereith (131 km), Imst (142 km) and continue towards Landeck. After the Fern Pass follow the motorway signs for the A12 Landeck/Bregenz*. Leave at exit no. 144 «Reschenpass/Meran/St. Moritz» (157 km) and turn right onto the B180. Drive round Landeck through the Umfahrungstunnel (bypass tunnel) and continue by means of Martina (191 km), Scuol and Zernez to till the roundabout before Celerina. At the roundabout before Celerina drive direction Pontresina. From here there are just several kilometre to the countryside Pontresina, where you can find the Grand Hotel Kronenhof. Distance: approx. 280 km; travel time approx. 31⁄2 hours Hint: An alternative route to St. Moritz from Munich is by means of Kufstein – Innsbruck – Landeck*. Distance: approx. 354 kms *A motorway tax sticker (Autobahnvignette) is required on all Austrian freeways. Hiking by air The nearest international airports are situated in Zurich and Milan. The Grand Hotel Kronenhof can be reached from Zurich Airport by auto (approx. two ½ to three hours) or by train (approx. four hours). Coming from Milan, we recommend a trip by auto (approx. three hours). The Engadin Airport in Samedan, just four kilometers distant from the Grand Hotel Kronenhof, is a regional airport certificated by the Swiss federal authorities. It's the highest airport in Europe – available during all the year to privately-owned and charter jets.

Cancellation policy
Self-sufficient cancellation at least 11 days before date of arrival. 6 to ten days before date of arrival 50% of the entire staying will be charged. Late cancellations or no shows will be charged the cost of the entire staying. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
