Hostal Gallardo is located right in the middle of Madrid, only 500m from the Puerta del Sol. Our historic building from the 19th century is situated in the Malasaña area close to a lot of of the major treveller and shopping zones. The celebrated Avenue of the Art with the Museums Thyssen, Prado an Reina Sofía begins just a 20 mins stroll away. The subway and local bus stops are situated just several metres away. Cab facilities is accessible from the hostal foyer.

Cab A cab from Barajas Internacional Airport usually takes approximately 20 mins to arrive and can cost between 25-30 € depending on the traffic. Although the majority of taxis are honest professionals please be warned that sometimes you may be charged a highly high price or may be taken to places that pay the driver a comission. We recommend that you ask for an official recipt, note their operating license number and you are able to refuse payment in some cases. This is not the norm but it's better to be forewarned. Subway Madrid has an prime subway (metro) system that you are able to take right from the airport. Whether you do not have plenty of luggage it's simple and inexpensive use and will take you less that 30 mins to arrive at the Hostal. Follow the signs to the underground in the airport, purchase a one use ticket: 1 € or a ten use ticket: 6. 15 €, from the machines or the ticket window. Take line #8 to the station Nuevos Ministerios and transfer to line #10 in the direction of Metro Sur. Receive off at the Tribunal stop an the hostal is situated just 50m from any of the three exits. From THE TRAIN STATIONS: All of the train stations have subway (metro) stations connected. You just need to travel to the Tribunal Stop on lines #1 or #10. A single use ticket is 1 €. By CAR: If you're arriving by auto, the hostal has two parking spaces surrounding. One is in the Plaza de Barceló on the side of the subway stop an the other is on the corner of Glorieta de Bilbao and Fuencarral St. Both are situated just 50m from the Hostal.
